Engineering
DLC coating is a good surface modification coating with high hardness. It can be used on the surface of drilling rig parts to prolong their service life. DLC coating has relatively high acid and alkali resistance and is suitable for surface treatment of parts with anti-corrosion requirements. DLC coating has low friction coefficient and can lubricate the product surface, which is also suitable for the usage in the aqueous environment. DLC coating also has good chemical inertness and can improve the product's oxidation resistance and stability.

Product Application - Reasons For Failure Of Impact Pistons
During rock drilling operations, rock drills often face extremely harsh working environments. Especially when the rock drill starts to operate, its impact piston comes into contact with the drill tail, accompanied by high-frequency reciprocating or rotating motion, further increasing the risk of damage to the impact piston.
Main pain points:
Mismatching coaxiality of the impact piston leads to uneven force distribution in some areas, resulting in inappropriate radial force - coaxiality needs to be ensured
The oil contains hard particulate impurities, which can strain and impact the piston surface - avoiding additional wear and tear
Insufficient lubrication between the impact piston and cylinder body - using a combination of lubricating oil and DLC coating

Wear and fracture of the impact piston

The advantages of DLC coating on impact pistons
| Main advantages | |
| Production | 1. DLC is highly hard and wear-resistant, preventing piston scratches and increasing its lifespan by more than 2 to 3 times, significantly reducing machine downtime
2. The DLC film layer is uniform and smooth, without affecting the concentricity of the product 3. DLC stripping does not damage the substrate, and the piston can be reused |
| Productivity | 1. The reuse of pistons can effectively reduce production costs
2. The piston life is increased by more than 2 to 3 times |
| Terminal products | 1. Significantly increase the lifespan of terminal products such as hydraulic rock drills and breakers
2. Reduce the frequency of return repairs for terminal products |
Advantages Of Dlc Coating
Product pain points:
Pistons are prone to strain, reducing work efficiency, and in severe cases, can lead to machine scrapping

The main causes of sprains are:
√ Crushing hammer/drilling rig operates under harsh conditions
√ Low substrate hardness
√ High friction coefficient
Impact piston DLC coating:
√ Low deposition temperature, uniform film layer, without affecting product concentricity
√ Wear resistant, extend lifespan, and ensure stable operation of the piston
√ Lubrication, stable energy transfer
