Event sign-in / venue overview

Opening Session: Focusing on the Russian Manufacturing Market

The event was hosted by Egor. After guest sign-in, Mr. Li delivered the opening speech and introduced Huasheng’s development direction in the Russian market. He also expressed Huasheng’s willingness to build long-term cooperation with Russian customers and local partners.

The Chairman of the Machine Tool Association then gave a speech, sharing views on the influence of PVD technology on metalworking, cutting tool manufacturing, and high-end manufacturing.

A special cooperation session was also held during the event. Promarsenal Valeriy and Paval joined the ceremony, which focused on the delivery and application of Huasheng equipment in Russia. This also showed the closer cooperation between Huasheng and its local partners. According to the event agenda, the summit included sign-in, opening speech, address, special cooperation ceremony, and several thematic reports.

Guest Sharing: PVD Technology and Application Experience

During the thematic report session, several guests shared their experience and insights on PVD coating, tool production, equipment applications, and industry trends.

Peter, CTO of Plansee, gave a presentation on PVD basics and development trends. His report introduced the role of PVD technology from the perspectives of materials, coating technology, and industry development.

For cutting tool manufacturers, PVD coating is not just a surface treatment process. It is an important way to improve tool life, machining stability, and product competitiveness.

PVD Technology and Application Experience

Alex, CEO of FERRO, shared application experience of PVD coating in tool manufacturing. His report focused on the value of PVD coating, coating application experience in tool production, and views on industry trends.

In real production, coating quality directly affects tool wear resistance, cutting stability, and machining efficiency. With PVD coating, manufacturers can improve tool performance, extend tool life, and reduce tool change frequency without greatly changing the tool substrate or geometry.

Huasheng Sharing: Equipment, Technology, and Overseas Support

As the organizer of the summit, Huasheng shared its experience from three aspects: equipment capability, technology development, and overseas service support.

Max, Huasheng Overseas Director, introduced Huasheng’s company profile, overseas market layout, and sales support system. For overseas customers, purchasing PVD coating equipment is not simply buying a machine. It also requires support in equipment selection, production line planning, coating process, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.

Huasheng aims to provide customers not only with equipment, but also with practical coating production solutions that can be truly applied in daily manufacturing.

Xiao Qidong: PVD Technology Is Moving Toward Integrated Solutions

Xiao Qidong, Huasheng Overseas Chief Engineer, shared Huasheng’s view on the current status of PVD technology and its new technology directions.

His presentation first mentioned that, with the rising cost of tungsten and carbide-related materials, tool manufacturers are facing more pressure. Competing only on low prices is becoming more difficult. For tool makers, a more practical direction is to improve product performance through coating technology, giving tools longer life, more stable machining performance, and higher added value.

The presentation also pointed out that tool performance is related to substrate, geometry, and coating. Among these factors, coating plays an important role in improving tool performance.

Xiao Qidong also introduced the characteristics of several common PVD technologies. Traditional ARC technology has high efficiency and high ionization, but it may bring droplets and surface roughness. Magnetron sputtering can provide a smoother surface, but its efficiency and ionization are relatively limited. HiPIMS can improve ionization, but still faces challenges in cost, efficiency, and mass production stability.

To solve these problems, Huasheng is developing several technology routes, including ARC + HiPIMS hybrid technology, Super HiPIMS, GFour platform, and Super ARC. These technologies aim to make coatings denser, smoother, and more stable, while reducing defects and improving batch production performance.

In simple words, Xiao Qidong’s sharing was not only about one machine or one technical parameter. It explained how Huasheng combines equipment, coating processes, and application experience to help customers solve real production problems, such as coating peeling, cutting edge roughness, unstable machining, and insufficient tool life.

Shareate Mr. Xia: PVD Equipment Helps Tool Companies Improve Competitiveness

Mr. Xia from Shareate also delivered a presentation during the summit. His topic focused on Huasheng’s support and advantages in the competitive Chinese market, and how PVD equipment helps companies improve application results and market competitiveness.

As a high-end cutting tool manufacturer, Shareate serves industries such as aerospace, new energy vehicles, robotics, and precision manufacturing. These industries have higher requirements for cutting tools, especially when processing high-hardness materials, difficult-to-machine materials, and complex components.

By introducing Huasheng’s PVD coating solutions, manufacturers can better control the coating process, improve tool performance, and build advantages in tool life, product consistency, and overall cost. Shareate’s presentation also mentioned that PVD solutions can help companies improve production efficiency, reduce unit cost, and strengthen differentiated competitiveness.

More Than an Equipment Supplier, a Long-Term Partner

One clear message from the summit was that Huasheng is not only a PVD equipment supplier, but also a long-term technical partner for customers.

For Russian customers, whether a PVD coating system can run stably for a long time does not depend only on the machine itself. It also depends on mature coating processes, timely engineer communication, stable spare parts and consumables supply, and fast after-sales response.

During the summit, Huasheng also showed its overseas support capability, including engineer-to-engineer communication, team-level technical support, local service resources in Russia, and spare parts support.

Working Together for the Future of Russian Manufacturing

The Huasheng PVD Industry Summit created a face-to-face communication platform between Huasheng and Russian manufacturing partners. From the opening speech and cooperation ceremony to the presentations by Plansee, FERRO, Huasheng’s technical team, and Shareate, the summit covered PVD technology development, tool manufacturing applications, equipment capability, and market cooperation.

Looking ahead, Huasheng will continue to develop PVD, HiPIMS, DLC, ta-C, and related coating technologies, providing global customers with more stable coating equipment, mature process solutions, and service support closer to local markets.

Huasheng looks forward to working together with Russian and global manufacturing partners to support the development of high-end cutting tool manufacturing and advanced surface treatment technology.
