Huasheng magnetron sputtering optical coating equipment deposits optical and functional thin films on glass, crystal materials, polymers, ceramics and metals.
The OPT-S 800, OPT-S 1500, OPT-S 1700 and OPT-S 1800 optical coating machines support AR, HR, optical filters and other documented film types, with different effective coating areas and source configurations.
These optical coating systems combine magnetron sputtering, ion-source etching, optical monitoring and planetary workpiece motion for multilayer coating processes.

What Is Magnetron Sputtering Optical Coating Equipment?
Magnetron sputtering optical coating equipment uses plasma to eject particles from a target and deposit them on a substrate. Argon ions bombard the target, while the magnetic field confines electrons near its surface to support the discharge.
The OPT-S series combines this deposition process with ion-source etching, optical monitoring and rotating workpiece carriers. The documented film range includes AR, hard AR, IR-AR, HR, cut-off filters, band-pass filters, RGB filters, AS/AF and ITO.

Dense Optical Films
High-energy sputtered particles support dense film growth with reduced voids in the deposited structure.

Optical Monitoring
The online optical monitoring system measures spectral response and supports multilayer thickness control.

Strong Film Adhesion
Energetic deposition supports bonding between the coating and substrate, while ion-source etching provides a separate surface-processing step.

1. What is magnetron sputtering optical coating equipment used for?
It deposits optical and functional thin films on suitable substrates. Applications listed for OPT-S include optical lenses, automotive panels, display screens, LiDAR and HUD components.
2. What coatings can OPT-S machines produce?
The documented range includes cut-off, band-pass and RGB filters; AR, hard AR, IR-AR and HR coatings; and AS/AF and ITO films. The required film design should be matched to the process configuration.
3. Which substrate materials are supported?
The OPT-S documentation lists glass, crystal materials, polymers, ceramics and metals. Substrate dimensions and the intended coating should be considered together when reviewing a model.
4. How do the four OPT-S models differ?
OPT-S 800 has an effective coating area of Ø650 × H450 mm and 4 sputtering sources. OPT-S 1500, 1700 and 1800 have Ø940 mm effective coating diameters, respective heights of 1000, 1200 and 1600 mm, and 8 sputtering sources. Their pump configurations and equipment footprints also differ.
5. How are optical film thickness and distribution controlled?
The series uses online optical monitoring for spectral measurement and film control. Workpiece carrier revolution and rotation help manage film-thickness distribution during multilayer deposition.
6. What configuration options are listed for OPT-S?
The documentation lists planar or cylindrical sputtering-source options and customizable workpiece carrier shaft quantities. It also lists manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic operation through a touchscreen + PLC system.
7. What information is needed for model selection and a quotation?
Provide the substrate material, workpiece dimensions, desired loading arrangement, coating type and multilayer film requirements. Include the available installation space so that the relevant coating area and equipment footprint can be reviewed.
