In industrial applications, pipelines are widely used for transporting oil, natural gas, chemicals, gases, drinking water, and sewage. However, corrosion and wear caused by internal media can lead to pipeline failure, posing serious economic losses and safety risks.

The HPC coating equipment utilizes the pipeline itself as a deposition chamber. By combining hollow cathode discharge with Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD), it efficiently deposits Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coatings on the inner walls of pipes. This method avoids contamination from large particles and enables fast, simple, and uniform coating formation.

The DLC coatings are smooth, dense, and durable, with thickness ranging from 2 to 30μm, nano-hardness of 5–10GPa, and a deposition rate ≥0.5μm/min. The process applies high voltage to ionize carbon-containing gases, generating charged particles that further collide and ionize gas molecules under a strong electric field, increasing plasma density and promoting DLC film growth.

For pipe coating, the ends of the hollow tube are sealed to form a plasma circuit. High voltage excites the gas, enhancing ionization within the long tube acting as a vacuum chamber, enabling uniform DLC deposition on the inner wall surface.

This technology effectively protects pipelines from corrosion, pitting, and fatigue, significantly extending service life and improving safety in oil & gas, chemical, and water treatment industries.
