What Is CVD Coating Equipment?
CVD coating equipment uses gaseous chemical precursors to form a solid coating or diffusion layer on a heated component surface. The controlled reaction produces coatings with strong adhesion, good coverage and stable high-temperature performance.
Conventional CVD systems are widely used for TiC, TiN, TiCN and Al₂O₃ coatings on carbide cutting tools and dies. Chemical vapor aluminizing uses the same gas-phase reaction principle to introduce aluminum into the surface of turbine blades and hot-section components, forming an aluminide diffusion layer for oxidation and corrosion protection.
